  1. It’s a strange business, guilt – especially strange that engendering it actually became a kind of business. I had no religious upbringing whatsoever, which I think left me free to enjoy the poetic approach to the “religious experience” – William Blake, Walt Whitman, Basho. It’s a simple direct sense of wonder, it seems to me 🙂

    1. Oh, it really was (is?) a business, isn’t it? It takes a long time to shake that Catholic guilt too. 😛 Give me the worship-in-the-woods type of experience any day. I’m with you 🙂
